Sell store cattle - which rt makes no difference.
Sell reared calves with farm assurance - no one gives a sh!t
Sell osr - that is a problem.
Sell wheat - quietly suggested to my neighbour who stores our wheat that maybe (wink wink ££) that I maybe don't need RT maybe. It did not go down well!

Sell finished cattle to Morrisons so no choice.
No livestock markets worth much over here.
Spalding is the closest abattoir.
Red tractor is a pain but not an insurmountable one.
Green tractor, that's a different kettle of fish.

And RT state they can trace back to the farm. What a bunch of fools.
Ah but remember rt can only trace back to farms (plural) not farm (singular) they said so themselves. And I believe there was a bit of a hoohaa over there badly worded advertising campaign as a result.

it makes there assurance worthless as it’s untraceable to the source. Oh hang on my mistake, worthless is the wrong word as it suggests there’s potentially a premium which we all know there isn’t.

Pointless is the word that should be used.

I had the following conversation with my step son over lunch last week:
Are you in RT?
Yes, we have to be in to sell our grain.
Well, you should all take a leaf out of the French farmer’s book and refuse to sell anything.
Ah well, all that will happen is that the gap will be filled with imports.
Then take another leaf out of the French book and demonstrate and blockade the ports.
Ah yes, but in this country the police would soon move us on.

You need to work that into the deal

£5 /t more if you want it RT
That is how a properly functioning market should operate. Milk producers should be able to say - milk price under ( say ) 42 ppl you will get milk that conforms to the legal requirements for ex farm milk. Over 42 ppl we will supply assured milk. Sadly I don't think that is going to happen
