Would be nice if a machine you want can be sourced from a UK manufacturer if the quality is comparable and I think the pivot steer JCB’s are probably better than the German offering judging by my customers machines and the hours put on them.

Don't know of a pivot steer with more reach, very limited on boom length with it being infront of the cab

TM320s here replaced a TM300 that replaced a TR250 that replaced a Teleram.

Before we bought the TM300 we demod JD3800 (broke down twice on demo, lacked performance, visibility like the pre facelift tr250)
Manitou pivot - nice to drive but lacked reach when high up - the back plate was level with the axle instead of front of tyres when at max height. Bit plasticky, not as much ground clearance
Terex - all the bad bits of the Matbro with a Sanderson joystick
TM ate the lot for breakfast

This time round I was offered a demo of the new Manitou pivot. What's that gearbox all about? Nah not for us.

TM impresses every time you drive the thing

I can get corn as high with the TM as I can with the 541/70 - reach and height are different things.
4 bale spike sorted high stacking of straw.

Pivot steers don't have a good time on slippery ground IME, mind side boom machines aren't much better. It is in that kind of situation that a tractor and loader will manage better but they are so numb by comparison.
I may have used sidling, not sliding, but I meant sloping ground!
My Weidemann is very light on the front , will lift if you turn slightly on this ground!
