This morning we had a flail come loose or bolt shear and the flail took a liking to the rear mudguard.Do you use window guards when using a hedge trimmer if so what and how do you get on with them?? Thanks
You don't see the mesh after a while but you do see all the rubbish that gets stuck between it and the window as well as endless smashed blackberries and so on smeared on the window that you can no longer clean.Just get a longer reach trimmer, keep the head further away
how tf can anyone spend all day looking through 1 inch mesh is beyond me
Honestly, I can't see through it,eyestrain in minutesYou don't see the mesh after a while but you do see all the rubbish that gets stuck between it and the window as well as endless smashed blackberries and so on smeared on the window that you can no longer clean.
The cunningham 1s are good and you would hardly know it was on from a distanceAny one got a bonnet and mudgaurd cover , like cunningham covers make ,
got a fresh tractor and big hedger coming ,
When i changed the tractor 2years ago got a Cunningham cover great job stopped using mesh on the side at the same time. I lost a couple of doors and windows with mesh on as well on so no real advantageAny one got a bonnet and mudgaurd cover , like cunningham covers make ,

Best thing I’ve found is the rubber flaps on the front of the flail head. Most new ones already have them I think, but made a vast difference on my older one.Does reduce quality of work slightly tho. What usually breaks the glass?
Is it wire, stones, cutting too much off and a big stick gets you or is it just random bad luck?
Is there something you can avoid doing to greatly reduce the chance of damage?
