When I can see steam coming out of their ears I can almost see them growing.I shouldn’t say it but whatever the feed is needs to be fairly hot to be able to get them fat

I was looking at a batch of store cattle here yesterday there was some bloody heat off them I said looks like they are starting to do some goodWhen I can see steam coming out of their ears I can almost see them growing.
2002. Picking barley up at £58 while paying £65 for barley round bales delivered from Lincolnshire which was cheaper than I could buy it from my neighbour who had spare after been killed out with foot and mouthI can remember paying £60 a tonne for barley and I’m sure the straw was around the same price or more because I remember making the comment it would be cheaper bedding them up with barley
And you know there's no filler in it.Mine will work out at £270 a ton
The amount of companys selling feed and blowers on the roads cant be many farmers hime mixing !
Has the business case ever been better? The amount of companys selling feed and blowers on the roads cant be many farmers hime mixing !
What do you mean ?Has the business case ever been better?

They aint restricted to Dumfriesshire either ! Phenomenal amount of wood on the move all the time !Off topic - did you count all the timber trucks when you travelled through Dumfriesshire?! Some times of the day, its dozens of them!
Difference between components and bought in blend is as wide as I've ever known - - > good case for DIY.What do you mean ?
Ah yes your right , as ever its numbers game ..Difference between components and bought in blend is as wide as I've ever known - - > good case for DIY.
Those guys have a different version of the highway code as well. Apparently if you flash the headlights whilst overtaking it overrides the blind bend ahead.Off topic - did you count all the timber trucks when you travelled through Dumfriesshire?! Some times of the day, its dozens of them!
Alot near me goes through and area used to be a rail network , them that wound the rail network up have spoiled things for us .Those guys have a different version of the highway code as well. Apparently if you flash the headlights whilst overtaking it overrides the blind bend ahead.
I had a run to Cornhill in the tractor this afternoon. The 697 down to Scott's is just their personal highway.Alot near me goes through and area used to be a rail network , them that wound the rail network up have spoiled things for us .
I've often thought a mobile cubing press would be goodAnd you know there's no filler in it.
Really looking for someone to put our own mix into rolls. Summer use, don't need protein. Sod £300 for mineralised barley when I have it in the shed depreciating.
Seemingly if things don't go right you can have a busy few hours with a cordless drill.I've often thought a mobile cubing press would be good
Home mix all my fat lamb feed.do it all by hand too.do but in ewe rolls though. The amount of companys selling feed and blowers on the roads cant be many farmers hime mixing !
