We’ll I’m no Fendt man I’ve never even sat in one so we’ll ask the question differently New Holland and John Deere ,Claas and other brands are they more or less reliable than they were 10/20 years ago ,serious question? or are fancy tractors( Fendt ) just too fancy to be reliable

They'll all break down in my experience.

It's how dealers/manufacturers deal with problems that counts in my experience.

There seems to be a extreme shortage of mechanics up here, which is affecting how quickly dealers can fix things.
Same here, next purchase will be based on backup which narrows the choice somewhat!

Aye every dealer seems to be constantly advertising for mechanics. Getting anyone to sort anything quickly these days is a nightmare

In that case then we all should have Claas tractors as their combine backup is second to none.

You’d think so.
in my experience their backup for tractors is no better than anyone else’s. Sometimes worse such as shutting down over Christmas for a long period, sometimes better in that there is a very good stock of parts at Saxham.
The Christmas shutdown thing is a legacy of them being harvesting specialists.

Interesting question.
I use New Holland and JCB tractors.
I’d say that New Holland have definitely become more reliable than they were 20 years ago.
JCB’s 2000 series always were reliable and I now have one that is 10 years old and it is still reliable.
