fendt and Reliability

We’ve tried most brands of tractors in my years, apart from claas, had a late model Renault and that was enough of that.
the newer machines are far better engineered, very rare to see structural failure like we saw with the 6190 that split in half, the Renault with the front axle being rebuilt on a monthly basis, or the fiat and ford that left the farm in component form in potato boxes. We’ve now got basic NH models with between 10 and 13 thousand hours on their clocks that still put in a decent shift. The old 399s and fiats were away worn out at 6000hrs, admittedly dad ran stuff hard and was nonplussed with the concept of servicing and repair.

Have only owned 2 Fendts in my career, but my take on it is that they will have reliability issues just the same as the other brands, including fairly major issues in our case, however the back up from the dealer and the support Fendt give the dealer (i think providing the servicing and maintenance has been on point) to resolve problems is streets ahead of the other manufacturers.

We were walked away from with a 3yr old 3000hr machine from a different premium brand that had accrued >£30k of repair bills in under 12months.

We currently have a high hour fendt with an expensive problem and Fendt are standing on to fix it.

I can’t fault them at all.

was over in Poland with my brother visting his wife's family they took me to a local potato farm with a large fleet of tractors
