There was certainly one or two caught up in it that called it that.Isn’t that what they call a ponzi scheme?

Yes I can see how the initial investment could be a right off but would like to know how goods instead of payment works ?? On return on investmentfriend invested in the Westbury co op disaster,
not a total loss, as he could use it, to offset tax.
It nobbled me of £5KA north Yorkshire coast phosphate mine was the thing to invest in, until it was bought out overnight.
That's a good return on investment. Even the £100 a month sounds good.I've been reading some of the comments on Facebook. Seems to be a few people who've put money in and now lost it and you can understand their anger. From what it looks like, the crowdfunding scheme was you 'Invested' either £1,000 or £10,000 (or multiples of) and in return you could have either £100 per year to spend in the shop (£1,000 investment) or £100 per month (£10,000 investment). After 5 years you could either leave the money in or withdraw your capital. If you had put in £10,000 you would have £16,000 back in capital and shop credits after 5 years. Anyone care to guess how many years ago this scheme was started?
We are but can still get caught out buying stuff in or inconclusive reactors! No idea about his herd though. What was the TB thing? Haven't seen it mentioned other than in the headlines. I thought Scotland was TB free?
They only posted this a couple of months ago
What was the lesson? It nobbled me of £5K
Mind you I could have sold at £11K at one point
Lesson learnt.
Sounds good enough that they got between £800k and £1m of investment apparently. But if you put 10 grand in last month and lost the lot this month.....That's a good return on investment. Even the £100 a month sounds good.
I'm not thinking it's a good investment, but taking £100 a month and also being able to withdraw the capital after 5 years to me sounds tempting.Sounds good enough that they got between £800k and £1m of investment apparently. But if you put 10 grand in last month and lost the lot this month.....
Presumably that’s how schemes such as this tempt people to part with their cash?I'm not thinking it's a good investment, but taking £100 a month and also being able to withdraw the capital after 5 years to me sounds tempting.

I don't anything about this farmer, and as I said in my previous posts, I don't necessarily agree with his decision.
That doesn't mean you should feel the need to berate him when he's most likely at his lowest. Hopefully he has plans to pay his investors back at some point, but is unable to comment due to legal implications.
Imagine how you would feel if you read some of the things some of you have written on this thread?
It would certainly tip me over the edge.

It clearly is. Not sure how the buying non organic stock out of the markets works though ?Don't let that put you off. What Charlotte and Ben have achieved is truly remarkable.
