Buffalo Farm Goes Bust

I've been reading some of the comments on Facebook. Seems to be a few people who've put money in and now lost it and you can understand their anger. From what it looks like, the crowdfunding scheme was you 'Invested' either £1,000 or £10,000 (or multiples of) and in return you could have either £100 per year to spend in the shop (£1,000 investment) or £100 per month (£10,000 investment). After 5 years you could either leave the money in or withdraw your capital. If you had put in £10,000 you would have £16,000 back in capital and shop credits after 5 years. Anyone care to guess how many years ago this scheme was started?
That's a good return on investment. Even the £100 a month sounds good.

Sounds good enough that they got between £800k and £1m of investment apparently. But if you put 10 grand in last month and lost the lot this month.....
I'm not thinking it's a good investment, but taking £100 a month and also being able to withdraw the capital after 5 years to me sounds tempting.

She killed herself after similar comments to some in this thread were posted online, comments made from people again who only knew half the story.

I don't anything about this farmer, and as I said in my previous posts, I don't necessarily agree with his decision.

That doesn't mean you should feel the need to berate him when he's most likely at his lowest. Hopefully he has plans to pay his investors back at some point, but is unable to comment due to legal implications.

Imagine how you would feel if you read some of the things some of you have written on this thread?
It would certainly tip me over the edge.

Just be kind.

How about the suffering caused by his reckless.

How about others not been paid & losing saving.

If he had done the decent thing & sold up, I would have agreed with you. He is a selfish grifter.

He can still sell up but he wants the money for himself.
