Buffalo Farm Goes Bust

Check out Companies House, he is the only director of the new company. Very bizarre on several counts. Firstly I believe you're not allowed to open a limited company with just one director, there has to be a second director a secretary.
Also surprised to see that as he is the only listed director. Who are the people who have supposedly bought the entire business and don't want to seat on the board???
And lastly I wonder why Companies House allowed him to become a director since he's bankrupted a previous business. I think his investors would have scope to complain and have him removed.
I agree he came across as a complete t***** on Farming Life. All mouth.
Is this chap trying to copy Des Phillips and Acorn

So 8 years to get your initial investment back. Assuming a smaller investment gets a smaller monthly store credit too.
I assumed it was a family farm as its said he was 6 generation farmer somewhere, I thought they owned it, I wounder what goes on. I'd have thought after 6 generation tenneneted or not it would be in a good position.
Not if 6 generations of clowns.

I think if he's an undischarged bankrupt, that precludes him opening up or being a director of another company. But putting the company into Administration avoids that.
It's enlightening doing a 'director search' on such people, to see where they've been before and how many unsecured creditors have been taken down by their actions..

I take it you can delete negative comments on Facebook, its amazing the amount of positive comments they have on the posts informing people of the news.

I couldn't say anything positive about this chancer from seeing the first programme.

Pre-Pack is very common nowadays
Happens all the time

It does. And it shouldn't.

Is it just "investors" surely lots of suppliers too.

I imagine it will be very hard running a business with a reputation for non payment. GOOD!
I know a couple of firms near me went bust and came back both owed local concrete firm and went straight back in expecting credit because they were a new business. they didnt get any. Also know another guy who was in trouble that made sure alot of the smaller and self employed were paid(me included). And the ones he knew he would need again.

I thought that if a company goes bust its assets are then put into the hands of something called a receiver. This person/company then pays out the assets to those suppliers who are owed money.

Sometimes there is enough money from selling said assets to pay the debts owed and sometimes there isn’t so the debt is paid as a percentage to a pound, be it £0.80 or even £0.10 in each £1.00

The posts above reporting the ‘going bust’ and re-starting again as if nothing is amiss strikes me as illegal practice and perhaps those owed should seek legal advice. Preferably not a local firm in this instance.

There's a hoof trimmer in Facebook and YouTube, The Hoof GP. He went there a while ago to do some buffalo feet and in the background it looks like a brand new expensive set of buildings on a new site
Yes the old stone buildings are just falling apart, however the new buildings are if very good quality, one on the west houses the processing plant and packing facilities and office area,
The one on the east is a dairy complex, I been a few times, I thought it strange as there was a pavement down each side of buildings, but the roadway between was a big rocks and not passable on foot, think they have 4 farms altogether though
