Hi - we’ve recently purchased an old (P reg) 6800 and will be running the pto at 540e but strangely theres no indication on the rev counter as to what the engine rpm should be. Can anyone with a 6800 tell me what it should be? TIA.

Is the dash not the same as this picture? The yellow line is 540e 1750rmp

Yep 10 series dash. The rev counter will go to the yellow part when you seitch between modes with the switch under the wiper switch.
If you make a photo of the interior it is very easy to see if it is a 10 series ot not.

Very strange as the tractor IS a 6800....obviously one of the previous owners has changed the whole dash for some unknown reason...!!

Ah right I see the top of the dash is black, 10 series is brown.
Not sure whether all the functions are interchangable. Maybe @Tractortech knows.

It seems a bit of a mix as the diff light is on the dash, 10 series has it on the right hand console.

So are you thinking its not a 10 series dash?

Get a picture of the actual dash and a pic of the underside of the windscreen wiper control, there should be a little black switch you toggle to select between engine rpm,pto speeds F and R and the last one is the hrs.
Also a picture of the tractor serial number.
