Confessions of the Sheep/Beef Cattle/Pig Addicts

I've four lambs away to the lab today, have had a real abortion storm, 36 so far out of a batch of 100, worst I've ever had. I imagine it will come back enzootic, hate the sight of them now. Atleast it has only been in this batch.
Aye it’s a bugger we had another this morning which was a shearling out of one batch but they were in getting dosed and injected yesterday which is always trouble
If there’s only 100 I would go through them with alamycin la 200 give them all 7ml might put a break in it for you

So i was just trying to work out tonight where this could have started, most of these are home bred ewes but I added 20 bought in ewes which were given out as being double vaccinated so I'm assuming they possibly brought it with them.

Haven’t seen this programme before

Had it five years ago too, bad silage was to blame. All had been vaccinated for enzo and toxo the previous autumn but the vet said sometimes it takes a year to work properly and to be fair I haven’t had any bother since
