Do Not assume the sfi will stay the same for ever nothig does
defra has shown they will adapt the rules of sfi bringing some of the restriction that applied to stewardship
such as maximum 30% of a parcel in grass blocks on arable land
other options in stewardship were restricted in area
agreements needed individual assesment and areas were knocked back if excessive early on
but when uptake was low they allowed bigger areas
last year every one was saying that the money would not get spent due to low applications
now they have restricted some of the excesses some are complaining
these restrictions will prevent land lords or their agents claiming 100 non productive actions and turfing tenants out
this will also allow the justification of apr for food production especially after the election
