Put 2 sheep sheds up just before Covid as we were sick of lambing in bad weather. Trailing feed out and watching them paddle silage into the ground and turning the place into a bog! Put 500 twins and trips straight in now after scanning and just leave singles out. Last 2 lambing’s it’s being well worth the cost.
Going to put another shed up this back end as well to run ewes and lambs in or single pens. This morning has tipped me over the edge
Do you manage to keep their feet right or are you on slats?

RKG blend? We used it last year but the bin we were getting it blown into, the nuts hit the back and bounced forward and the barley dropped straight down, first week was all nuts then you were left with just the barley at the end. Good feed tho.
Yes I’ve been picking it up so it’s coming out mixed ok. They are sorting it a bit in the hoppers but not raking it out

Go both ways with hoggs horses for courses as such so a reasonable judge of weights prices. Our hoggs would be equivalent of circa £9 DW for mainly hill bred In market today better sheep would be more. I don't see many sheep on the market next week? Had thought the mythical £10 was off the mark but who knows!!
I’ve just got Swales left so I’m happy with the price As markets have just been 3.60-80 for most Swales. If they were all cheviots they would definitely be going live.
