Bought a run of these ewes for £105 in lamb in March 2022. All 1st croppers and gimmers. You could spilt neeps on their backs when they first arrived but by Christ they've been good ewes. Unfortunately the lad that sold them seems to have moved to cheviots
We have a handling system made by rancher.they gave up but I think someone else took it on.if it's still of the same quality it's bloody good stuff.Sheep
Sooner calve cows than lamb sheep!Don't do it. Calving cows is a mugs game
Try “Pink Stuff” it's meant for cleaning bathrooms but I use it on my hands and it works wonders. Also apparently it's organic so no nasty chemicals.Slight problem tonight.
Well after taking in two pairs of lambs in this atrocious rain, grabbed the "Umbrspray" can and did Navels. Now have green hands. Can has been oozing its contents.
Any ideas what will remove it.
Not just hands, jackets, door handles crook.
Now its dried, have tried Swarfega, washing up liquid and mrs c's nail varnish remover. She was quite miffed that it did not work.
I'd sooner have a real job at the moment!Sooner calve cows than lamb sheep!
I hear Te Pari are after a new poster model. Bet they’d fit you up with everything if you asked nicelyI’m looking at putting a new fixed handling system in, any recommendations for who to buy components from? Looked at IAE/Bateman any others?
Be careful buying from Ron Finney then. Some of his gear is great, then the next lot looks exactly the same but weigh 1/2 as much… these hurdles we’ve got are grand things, but in the 10 hurdles there’s 3 different weight grades even though they all look the same!I haven’t looked at the spec for the cattle systems but I agree with your point, at least with sheep you know that you’re going to be in with them whereas cattle is a completely different scenario.
Whilst the grant money is available I’m thinking to put a system in (if it suits where I want it) that is a 30yr investment, so I don’t want to skimp on stupid cost savings that I’ll regret for years to come. Might as well invest the profit this year rather than give it to the tax man
And he doesn’t know when to shut the fuk upBe careful buying from Ron Finney then. Yes, the constant hard selling technique did wear thin very quickly. And he doesn’t know when to shut the fuk up
That fella could talk a glass eye to sleep
Over a 30yr lifespan? Would be pretty stupid to skimp on a few quid if it meant I didn’t have to repair/replaceCalling a cost saving idea “stupid”… abit of the arable farmer coming out there me thinks. No dedicated sheep farmer would ever view a cost saving as “stupid”
It does concern me that he’s always got a deal on, a clearance or a cancelled orderAnd he doesn’t know when to shut the fuk up

Had a chat with the current poster boy the other day, I think he’s doing a grand enough job without my interventionI hear Te Pari are after a new poster model. Bet they’d fit you up with everything if you asked nicely
