Well if there were as many killed round your area as there were here you should see the benefit of that but as someone said yesterday it's a long time until August. Good looking stock which will always sell well anyway.View attachment 1175201Should I have killed them. Be some fair weight.View attachment 1175202

A wise man once told me to always get someone else in & never to shoot your own sheep at lambing time just in case you got carried away shooting them & didn't stop...............40 years later I can still see his logicView attachment 1175216
Well this ewe almost achieved her goal in life until the 410 beat her too it. Prolapsed before lambing, then stitched and given oxytocin. Conveniently she sat on her pair of lambs while in the pen .
I don't have a gun. I was thinking about a bolt gun the other day to dispatch anything on welfare grounds then thought I don't really trust myself to have one of those either, no sheep would be safeA wise man once told me to always get someone else in & never to shoot your own sheep at lambing time just in case you got carried away shooting them & didn't stop...............40 years later I can still see his logic
Local chap blew his finger off with a bolt gun not so long ago. Dispatching a pig and it moved just at the wrong time. He would have known what he was doing, just got unlucky.I don't have a gun. There was a real idiot on here that hit the blank with a claw hammer because the trigger was broken. 🫣Local chap blew his finger off with a bolt gun not so long ago. Dispatching a pig and it moved just at the wrong time. He would have known what he was doing, just got unlucky.
