Barkers Animal Health for everything here.

Family business, set up by Peter, two Sons on the payroll and his wife in the office. No shareholders or fancy websites and offices.

........... and you never have to ask the price as it is always competetive.
Good to hear Peter has done well. An old colleague.

So drove 40mins to MVF yesterday , "do you have any ovivac / heptavac ?" yes loads in the fridge, but we cant let you have it because there isnt a qualified person to book it out !
WTF !
to say i was annoyed is an understatement with lambs needing a follow up dose shortly ,
The last time i went to Yeovil i was questioned for 10 mins on how many sheep i had , dosing etc etc for 2.5l of levamasole

Rant over!
I just call before hand & order what I want, they book it out and leave it aside for me (or whoever I send) to pick up

thanks all good suppliers noted above , was just one of those days we had sheep ready to vax , had vaccine in fridge at home but wrong amounts , needed a 50ml to finish numbers without opening a 100ml , (good video online about keeping opened bottles in fridge and how it goes off very quickly)
in the end we used wynnstay as i found some store lambs to take to sedgemeore saturday and wanted to look at the boluses , They are pretty competitive these days .

Mole seem to be dissapearing down the same rabbit hole that Countrywide did at the Cirencester depot - posh ready meals and horsey stuff, often there is no one to there to dispense PML items. Most round here use TFS (Taylor Farm Supplies) from Tewksbury now.

Had the same problem yesterday in Frome. (I wrote on the other mvf thread)
Couldn't believe what I was hearing as the guy stood next to.what I wanted.
I asked to speak to the duty manager, as I found it so incredulous that they didn't have the necessary staff available to sell the products they have.

That video is slightly flawed tough surely?

The vaccine is a live vaccine so you would still see bacteria in a new bottle as well?

I would like to see a fresh sample of vaccine under the microscope.

And then a further test would be vaccinate two groups of sheep with both new and old vaccines. And then look for an immune response in both groups.
