Brexit is destroying Britain

The thing is, the tory leadership at the time were mainly pro eu.
They brought out project fear at tax payers expense.
It was years of hardwork by ukip that brought about brexit, not torys.
The referendum was only offered because torys were scared of looking votes to ukip.
Torys did not think people would vote to leave.

Strongest leave voting areas were labour areas.

And now they will loose due to Reform anyway- it’s quite comical really- esp if you farm on the right side of the channel 🤦‍♀️

I’m sometimes told that it is only ‘people like you’ who are still going on about Brexit, and that no one except a few ‘remainiacs’ cares about it anymore. If that were true, the path ahead would be easy and quick, leading at the very least to a very much closer relationship with the EU. But the reality is that there are plenty of voters, and a very large segment of the political class and commentariat, who continue to care very deeply about Brexit and who have scarcely moved on from positions they held years ago. David Frost, writing with Robert Jenrick in the Telegraph this week (£), is a prime example, still chuntering on about the need to “defend” Brexit rather than treat it as “an embarrassing secret”, still holding out the myth of wonderful Brexit benefits that can be unleashed, and still – incredibly – trotting out the line that the Northern Ireland Protocol was only “temporary” and that the Windsor Framework should either be re-negotiated or unilaterally dropped. Meanwhile, for all that ‘remainiacs’ bemoan Starmer’s rather constipated timidity, Frost insists that even that would be enough for Labour to “undo” Brexit.

The case that Lord Frost made for Brexit might have been stated with true belief but it was, to put it mildly, monumentally unconvincing.

In the EU, animal and plant goods are subject to more stringent inspection rates: 15-30 per cent for dairy products and medium-risk meat compared with 1-10 per cent in the uk

People who attended a meeting on border management on Tuesday with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said officials admitted the error rate was currently 33 per cent

No way on earth UK could increase agriculture output by 2% never mind 22%, especially as most of its farmers are on TFF, prattling on about sovereignty, instead of doing a bit of graft.
Nart at all would be grown over in Ireland if they were all nosy buggers like you that spend all their time shoving their fecking great nose in the neighbours business instead of minding their own

Stay out has.
Not really, for generations, the wealthy in Britain have dominated British politics and pursued policies which make life difficult for the poor.

The majority of people who voted in the Brexit referendum - and voted to leave the EU - are poor (that is inevitable: the wealthy have always been a small minority in society).

I really don’t think the average British voter cares if their decision as expressed at the ballot box has “made things difficult” for people who are wealthy enough to be able to afford regular foreign travel and a second home in France.

Welcome to the world of the under-represented majority!
