Time trying to merge cells in excel. I currently have a column with tag numbers 1,2,3 etc and a column for year of birth, 2019 in this example. I need a column that merges these and finish up as 1/19, 2/19, 3/19 etc etc
Any one have any hints how? i've tried Google but nae luck.
As some will have been aware NZ Beef and Lamb Genetics has been running a Low Input Central Progeny test. It has just completed it's 2nd mating ( I'm scanning the ewes today) and the initial results from the first lamb crop are being released next week.
The aim if the CPT was to look at...
I've grown my first crop of winter forage oats, just DD into sprayed of rank Browntop in Autumn (April 10th) with 180kg of DAP. with the idea of grazing the ewes on it for the final 6 weeks before lambing. Tested the nitrate levels on Saturday the day before the ewes were supposed to go on...
This is an older study, but given the results who would consider using a Jersey cross cow?
I saw some on steep North Island hill country many years ago and was really impressed, they were putting Jersey bulls over their Heifers and keeping the calves, steers were finished and Heifers were mated...
Our local trucking Livestock trucking company has recentally kitted all it's drivers out in Hi-Vis shirts. What a nightmare load stock now, I'v rung them and told them that IMHO stock react badly to Hi-Vis clothing, I see it often enough scanning that I won't let anyone in Hi-Vis near the front...
Are our cows really any better than they used to be? It would appear in the US that cows have simply got 30% bigger producing steers 30% bigger. No real net gain. Yes this is taken from Becktons advertising yet the graph on the left is quite sobering.
Just been told today by a local Vet that due to low sales that production of Zolvix has stopped and once current stock has gone that will be it. They've sold all theirs and can't source any more. Where will this place us in the future for worm control?
My Samsung did a full OS update last week, which is fine but, there is always a but, two features that changed are really bugging me. One is the torch which now turns off automatically when the phone is placed face down, which is the position I most use the torch in.
The second is the favourites...
Does any one know of this company or had dealings with them? Based in Edinburgh. I've had contact from them and want to be sure they are who they say they are.
I've a problem with a group (15) gimmers that have learnt to escape, they just duck and barge under. There are too many and they're too good to just sell so I'm hoping to put triangle neck yolks on them. Does anyone know roughly how long each section is and roughly the distance between the...
I've had my iPhone stolen in somewhat spectacular fashion. Most photos and it appears all contacts are backed up on I cloud. At this stage I'll likely go back to the Android platform as I've never really been comfortable with an iPhone. What's the easiest way to transfer data from icloud to an...
Any one got any ideas what may cause 8 month old lambs to be wobbly in the back end, a bit like they're pee'd.
They're grazing a swamp so its quite wet, grazing is mainly Browntop, plantain and lotus. Its 5 weeks since they were drenched, but they're clean and healthy looking, I don't think its...
I was talking to a lad the other day, he reckoned the RSPB had shot some Golden eagles last year that were nesting near a sea eagle nest. Apparently they'd been scrapping away all the time and they didn't want the Goldies upsetting the Sea Eagles at nesting time. Heres me always thinking the...
I've finally set up email on my 12month old iPhone (so I can download info to iLivestock :-))
How ever its down loaded all my emails dating back to god only knows when. How do I highlite all the emails and delete the whole lot with out having to do them one at a time? Will it delete them from my...
A friend of mine has just lost a cow who was 38 years old, having calved every year.
I put off a 12 year old ewe last year who was born when her mother was 17(Lasted till 19).
What ages have folk had animals live to and still produce every year?
