help needed here lads did the head up ground the valves left it on the bench upside down put tissue under it poured diesel on top of valves left for 12hrs no diesel wept past valves or the seats fitted head on block all new gaskets including new valve stem seals the thing is it is blowing oil...
manitou mlt 626t gear box oil level do i leave manitou running to check the oil level on dip stick or stop the engine put it to the mark on stick first time with it stopped started engine then stopped checked again level away down on stick thanks rustypete
jest to up date you emptied hydraulic tank first jest to make shure it was clean which it was. Removed suction rubber hose to pump it was fine checked all pipes going on to valve block 2 off them were slack so stripped the whole lot off and fitted new O rings were needed and hay presto working...
yes it is air gauze in the oil tank could be clogged reply to you later as not going to the job till sunday any tips i will check hose from tank to pump incase it is breaking up inside
air so going to drain tank and take a look at the outlet gauze and the rubber pipe to the pump as could be breaking up with age a post on here advised me will let you know as working on manitou on sunday thanks
update on my last post no water in the oil it was cavitating air it was dark when i seen it first with torch next day i saw it before it was started up so i am thinking it is the gauze at the bottom of tank to the pump that is choked and that would make it judder when you pull on all levers can...
the first time i seen it my mate was working with it shined a torch in the tank today checked it as it was stopped for 24hrs tank clear so it must be drawing air in from between the tank and the pump and that would be causing the juddering the gauze for the outlet to the pump could be chocked is...
my friend has purchased a manitou mlt 626t it has water in hydraulic system a lot all cream colour and is jeddering when you work the main lever cable operated what is the best way to drain out and flush all the system out help would be appreciated thanks rustypete
