    Hp vs fuel use

That would mean then if I was looking to change up the year’s I shouldn’t worry about fuel usage. Realistically there are far more 150hp tractors about than 100 hp. And not always much different in size or weight. So if I had a set amount to spend just buy what I happy with rather than looking...

    Hp vs fuel use

It’s getting complicated. My original question was to settle a work argument. We have a 7740 from new it ploughing with a kv reversible 3 meter power harrow. Mows with 8’ conditioner and was lifting grass with a class 51 harvester. None of the above ever made the tractor work over hard. My work...

    Hp vs fuel use

So a tm150 wouldn’t use any more diesel than a 7740 in similar work

    Hp vs fuel use

Bit of a silly question but basically would a 6 cylinder 150 hp tractor use 50% more diesel than a 100 hp 4 cylinder both doing the same work say a 3m power harrow in same conditions. Roughly same age of tractor’s.

    Draxxin plus

Draxxon also is 1ml-40 kg where and longer cover where as a lot of the others are 1ml -10 kg. Worked out cheaper than other treatments I found. In calves anyway

    Slatted House vs unslatted

Why so many large bedded sheds then. That’s a serious question. Yes in Northern Ireland there’s a lot of tanks especially for milk men but there is a lot of debt due to capital overspending that may never be paid but due to milk checks can be serviced.

    Slatted House vs unslatted

I put a bit of a shed up this past 3 years. 100x60. 3x20’ pens across both gables 2 links or 32’ deep. A raised scrap passage about 11’ wide leave bedding area 21’ deep. Will hold 10-11 year old stores comfortably and can be fed meal on top of silage. At 2 years old or 700kg will really only...

    100 day finishing

That’s the whole secret. It at most will probably only cover the cost of the finishing ration but then I took some mart and was not overpaid so I’m hoping if they cover the cost then there’s maybe some extra for what the animal might be worth if a finisher wast to buy it

    100 day finishing

Most things u read about would say the animal starts to slow up after around 100 days and then the economics don’t work out. I brought calves from 5 weeks old some are now at 20-22 months ranging from 570-720 kg. One in particular 22month 770 kg. Has been on 5.5-6 kg meal day on about 75 day...

    100 day finishing

Do many people finish cattle in the 100 day system. When do you decide the cattle are ready to finish do the big cattle finisher’s buy an animal at a set weight approximately then sell 100 days later. I appreciate there is many variables.
