No standard sheet required the boy in the pictures has a sheet along the wall but I suspect that's not necessary and just a bad habit.
Plus the chance of a wall sheet blowing away is pretty slim...

Back in the days of chopping people's heads off was a thing they did tests to see how long the heads remains conscious for by getting them to blink... Usually 30 seconds before you "died". So I guess it would be similar for non stunned animals.

Probably best bet is just too buy a few cows and work it out as you go... Everybody's costs are going to be slightly different.
Oh I see well I just use the standard visqueen sheets doubled up achieves what I'd consider very good protection with gravel bags on top.
But I'm just a livestock farmer so my standards are probably considerably lower than some...
I suspect the 500 is going to disappear in favour of the 600 series and the next version of the 300 will top out at 150hp aka 315 which will have a snoopy nose similar to the 600 for improved loader work.
As far as engines goes I suspect there's practically not much differences these days.
Yeah I think I'll be going the same way as you bought a new tractor 9 years ago now and probably £120k to replace it.
Okay might get £40k for trade in but I think I'd rather keep it and buy another secondhand or scrapper as you put it and keep the spare £40k in my pocket for something else ...
