Are these models due to be upgraded soon? All new models 200/600/700 lwb have new styling. I would prefer the agco power engine but the 500 series is still deutz. What is the 4 litre deutz like for reliability?

Head gasket just gone in my 415 (same engine as 516). To be fair it's the first major expense in 7000hrs

Was there any mechanical reason for head gasket or just failed. The rough figures i got leaves a 514 only 3k dearer than a 314, on paper it seems a lot more tractor for the money but I'm just wary of the engine. Anybody running these models?

Had 2 516's and only had a boost sensor and intercooler hose on the engine. 5500hrs on the current one.

Other niggling faults on the rest of the tractor but nothing major has gone wrong yet.

500 series is much more capable tractor than the 300

17 plate 516 here, been very reliable, a sensor that de rates the engine has failed twice, but that’s it.
To be fair the tractor doesn’t do any heavy draft work, main duties being, drilling, rolling, fert spreading and hauling 15t grain trailers, with a bit of hedge cutting thrown in.

I suspect the 500 is going to disappear in favour of the 600 series and the next version of the 300 will top out at 150hp aka 315 which will have a snoopy nose similar to the 600 for improved loader work.
As far as engines goes I suspect there's practically not much differences these days.

Don't know what's caused it. Had the head skimmed and had to have 0.5mm taken off which would suggest it's been hot at some point but I've never known it get hot. 🤷‍♂️ still love the tractor though, would like a 516 to go with it.
