Last bloke I worked for employeed a couple of backpackers to cook for the crew of 19 plus his family. Would have cost him a bomb but gee receiving a hot meal lunch and for dinner was a highlight of the day. Made working late or putting up with the other shinaigans of harvest a lot easier. Made a...
You get used to them anyway. It's only if you get the right weather conditions and they are really sticky that i'd really notic them.
To add I've just finnished off working with a dozen backpackers and they were all scared of the snakes and spiders. Not one them sore snake the whole time (4...
The local butcher's slaughter house used to be by the river. All the waste went into a bucket then into the river. Rumoured to still be one of the best fishing spots around.
We can still use the stuff. Can't say I'm a huge fan of spraying it. Is prone to drifting off target if not apply in the correct conditions. But the ability to use as a double knock down and alternative to round up is really important in our no till farming.
Be the machine for the job. As long as you can get the ground dry. Dunstan engineering a smaller one. Those Collier & Miller ones are the best. You couldn't break one. You will pay for it. Few others made locally but probably would be to big for your area. Most of them the board folds side ways...
Wide board or smuger is what we call them. Essentially it's used to break up soil cldgs and smoth rough paddocks. Most under rated peice of gear in the world in our conditions.
You fill blade up with soil and as the soil flow out under the blade the clods break up.
@cows sh#t me to tears...
I've ran a bredel. Rate controller is primative compared to an Amazon. Found if the land is rough the scales don't work and it won't put the correct application on.
Local dear would have sold hundreds around home. Would have half a dozen sitting in the workshop at anyone time too though. I have a love hate relationship with them. There nice but dear as poison for what they are and that green turd always has somthing wrong.
None of that wisbang stuff in 2006. But you can see it from the main road in the district. Plus all the council staff drive past the farm every day.
Tbh they probably didn't notice it. It's only that I'm realising how unobservent most people are when driving.
Chassis rusting a problem on the np300 or did you blokes get a better Chassis then Oz? I know they had to replace a heap of Chassis. If you look in used car yards they all paint the chassis because they look so poor.
Is it actually a Red tractor requirement to have a generator?
We used to have one but most diary farmers I know don't have one. I don't think we ever needed to use it for a full milking. We could be miling within 10 minutes if we lost power which was handy with having staff. Also was handy...
Miles better. By design there meant to be poor quality. They are nice though. Fun to see some the banter from filming after you have watched the episode on the main site.
Don't worry they do notice still if you live on the right road. Opa didn't have the appropriate permit for our freestall. 20m by 200m. They did notice that.
Some of rural new comers neighbours have some housing structures that I'm not sure are permitted. Was hoping the place wouldn't be subject...
