Bredal spreaders

Over here lime spreading is not really a big thing. Only some gypsum is spread over heavy clay. Usually 2 spreaders and an excavator go to the field for spreading only 5 tons/ha. In future I would like to have a tractor with mounted crane for chipping, loading roadside hay etc. and during summer it would be nice to take jobs like spreading. Cheaper and more flexible than a 3 man team I think. From a salesman I got a brochure of Bredal spreaders. He said they are very versatile and are used for fertilizer, gypsum, chalk, and even compost.
On internet I find a lot about fertiliser and gypsum/lime but not about compost. Looks to me it will bridge a lot in the bunker and it is disaster to get it out. Any experience with spreading other things than lime with these things?

No experience of that but wev a bredal k45 from new and its 1 of the worst machines we ever owned. Had to do lots of welding over the years to it and various other problems and it hasnt spread that much material.Would not reccommend buying a bredal

Sounds promising
Don't know any bredals nearby, only some sanding carts for drain filling are bredals I think.

I've ran a bredel. Rate controller is primative compared to an Amazon. Found if the land is rough the scales don't work and it won't put the correct application on.

No experience with latter day Bredal spreaders but back on the 70's and 80's we spread thousands of acres with Bredal B70 and B48 machines.

Good for Ag lime, Mag lime, kieserite, basic slag, calcified seaweed, and granular and blended fertiliser.

All our fertiliser was high rates (for sugar beet and potatoes).
Not really suitable for lower rates of nitrogen ferts or modern day wide spreading widths.
