Calcium and magnesium injection. Also antibiotics. Think it bad betamox.
Still alive this morning, sat up but head thrown round and back and eyes rolled back.
These sheep were inside on hayledge and hay and have been out a good few weeks with lambs at foot.
If listeria is there anything I can do?
Had a few ewes now found flat out but with head tucked right round almost under itself. Eyes looking round the way it's twisted round. Last ewe died after couple days despite treatment.
Just found another the same.
What could this be?
Just want to drive round with no issues, 1 bag over head, 1 all intestines out navel. Another looked to have missed a feed and I didn't notice and dead. But... A single had a twin and a twin a triplet. Still don't take away the twins born in the bag yesterday evening as she was too worried...
Only 125 to go. Still going g fairly strong. Had 15 ewes lambed this morning already. Lost 2 lambs, a triplet I just couldn't keep breathing and found a twin with 2 heads out. Pushed 1 back in that survived the 1st to lamb again just couldn't keep going.
Crows and ravens been a nightmare this yr. Crows have learnt there dead mates laying about as a deterrent don't matter now. Trouble is they can't know the same kill zone of a rifle...
1 led on in shed, 1 stood on in shed. 1 led on outside. 1 hung outside. 1 hung inside. 1 eyes pecked outside. Ewe down on side maybe mag, treated. Lamb off legs given antibiotics and pain relief.
And it's only 8.30.
Odd 1, last 3 days ewes been a nightmare for not wanting lambs. Be that inside or outside. Singles, twins, different breeds etc.
Could it be the weather or something?
I've got about 7 acres that now about 6ft and in flower, it was too wet to graze all winter.
Roots on a whole look good still, some gone rotten. Who this be ok to graze with some ewe lambs?
