New information about what Environmental Land Management schemes will pay for

Nope I was just saying most of the comments seem quite negative (some understandably). But based on the info we have I'm generally feeling positive about it. Obviously we haven't been able to implement any real changes yet, so who knows how well it'll go. Sorry if my positivity offended your...

New information about what Environmental Land Management schemes will pay for

Gut feeling. Not everyone will do well out of it. But on the whole I feel it's going in the right direction. We can't all be negative can we?

New information about what Environmental Land Management schemes will pay for

Quite alot of negativity here. With the range of options now available and the continuous improvement, I feel pretty excited about what we can do on farm over the coming years. Alongside the current progression in agtech and food production generally, stacking SFI options looks increasingly...

    Gatekeeper Help Required

Clive, fair enough. Its surprising you are so skeptical of the tech though, given you think ground robots will replace tractors etc. You are actually the first person I have heard from who doesn't think this technology has a place in agriculture. I agree eventually automated ground machinery...

    Gatekeeper Help Required

I respect your opinion, Clive. But the reason we started looking into this was because these services were being requested by a certain contractor, not because we wanted to fit whatever we could to a drone. I agree though that RTK aerial boundary mapping will be an extremely niche service. Our...

    Gatekeeper Help Required

Yep , use it all the time. The pro version is very useful for a lot of things but not for plotting super accurate field boundaries. Accuracy in GEarth varies wildly and some imagery might not have been updated for months or even years....

    Gatekeeper Help Required

Sure, I was using Gatekeeper as an example really, as I've heard it has the functionality to set optimum guidance / tramlines based on the field boundary and features. But obviously this depends on the accuracy of the boundary shapefile. We use gatekeeper for many functions on our farm and have...

    Gatekeeper Help Required

Good point - I'll start a new thread. Customers vary, we map for farmers as a service, but mostly we build systems and sell system&training packages, for agronomy companies, research companies and independent agronomists

    Gatekeeper Help Required

Hi everything, I've been reading this thread with interest. We are an agricultural drone company, specialising in field mapping. We now have a prototype system which has RTK receivers built in. We can very accurately and quickly map fields to cm accuracy. The system is also 'weatherproof' which...

Could be worth an email to them.... It sounds like a serious bit of kit. Full RTK and even a weather station!

    Drone Sprayers

Will do! We haven't put Asulox through yet - it's a grey area currently on legalities and we missed the boat this year. I've heard the CRD and some PPP suppliers have been discussing them for a while. But there are still different opinions on whether it's legal or not. We are basically waiting...

Have to say it's a neater looking package than the Agras. Smaller tank though.... ;) I found the website for these but it's awaiting approval
