    MF35 + Foster D2P????

Thanks everyone for the really helpful comments. I'll try and find a nice ditch king, I think. I need to get a front weight carrier and weights for it anyway because I use it for moving ibc's filled with apple pulp on a regular basis and whilst it's ok to use my business partner as ballast on...

    MF35 + Foster D2P????

Anyone know if this would work as a combination? Anyone tried? IT has pto driven hydraulic pump but I'm sure I read somewhere 45hp for the foster. If not this, then what? I would love a little back actor I can use for light drainage duties, digging footings, laying drains etc. Anyone?

    Fahr KM22 + MF35

So the mower is here and off the trailer. The cat 2 interchangable lift arms are fitted and I have just been measuring up for pto shaft and doing some manouvres around the field to check balance and handling. All seems good so far although glad I live in Norfolk because I would not want to go...

    MF35 Lower link pin Replacement

Update. I took the other one off and used loads more heat, quenching and completely cooling each time and working it off and on a little bit at a time, slowly, slowly. Wd40, working it off and on. More heating and quenching and the thread is still damaged on that one too (although not as much...

    Problem with my balls.

Yeah, I don't think banging them with a hammer was a good idea!

    Problem with my balls.

Brilliant. I can do that. Had a similar idea but couldn't find a drill big enough to take the dowel. I'm sure I can use the motor and belt from a bench grinder I have to get the desired effect. Cheers!

    Problem with my balls.

Excellent idea, now I can get the drum mower off my big trailer and get those telgraph poles collected. Many thanks.

    Problem with my balls.

I have just gone to change the quick change lift arm balls on my MF35 from cat1 to cat 2 and it has not been quick. Turns out that two quick change cat 2 balls purchsed with the quick change lift arms from the same supplier are not the same size. The difference is about a millimitre or so on...

    MF35 Lower link pin Replacement

Thanks Ley253 - I think you are probably correct. I was trying to do too quickly and may well not have waited long enough before removing. Will definitely be quenching in future as that is an annoying amount of work I've made for myself. Should have gone for a cuppa.

    MF35 Lower link pin Replacement

Thanks for that, the extra info will be useful. I have a service manual with end float data. Happy to share that btw if anyone needs it it's in pdf and I have unlocked it so it's printable too - covers all mf35 variants. I have no idea who the copyright holder is or if it's even in copyright...

Many thanks, I'll go with temporary fix of weld until the weather improves and then it's left axle casing off and replace 'em both!

    MF35 Lower link pin Replacement

Thanks for that, I know what I'm doing when the weather warms up a bit then ;o) Will go with a temporary fix so I still move crates of firewood around in the meantime.

    MF35 Lower link pin Replacement

Hi folks. I'e been replacing lower link arms on MF35 with interchangeable cat1/2 type. Got the castellated nut moving on the right side and seemed to be coming off nicely if not a bit stiff. Used plenty of heat to get it unstuck before undoing. Now the nut is off, it seems the thread on the...

Thanks for your kind offer - I would take you up on it but I have some dual link pins in a box of bits that came with the tractor and am crucially short of honey until the next harvest!

    Fahr KM22 + MF35

Awesome community on here, thanks so much for your help and suggestions. I really like the idea of changing the lower link balls so I can use a wider variety of implements with ease. Thanks also for the tips about weight - I figured I would need some front weight soon as my wife has a micro...

    Fahr KM22 + MF35

Thanks folks! It's a Deutz Fahr Km 22 made under license by Agromet-famarol https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DRUM-MOWER-in-working-order/122970814989?hash=item1ca1a1ba0d:g:KVcAAOSwcN1aaPvl It's not green but looks like a red/orange colour. The photos on the listing do not show the pins very well but...

    Fahr KM22 + MF35

Hi Folks, This is my first post! I am new to farming and have a 1961 fe35 which I love. I have 2 acres of grass to cut, which is too much for the old finger bar mower I have restored. I also have plenty of work cutting grass if I have a machine which can tackle all sorts with ease. I am...
