Suggestions please, as to which make/model of chainsaw to buy for cutting crooked cordwood , in to lengths suitable for putting through firewood wood processor. Was thinking of the non professional smaller Husqvarna / Stihl,as they are all so horrendously expensive 🙀🤦🏻.

    Tax

Given that most will have had a fairly good year profit wise what are your views on paying tax that is due on profits. Do most just pay what is due or do most go and change or add kit to offset the cost. Personally I’m not fussed on giving hard earned money to a government that will squander it...

    Wild hfr problem

Neighbour has a beast that has ended up on its own outside and can't be gotten near without her charging you. I've already told him lead is the best option but he thinks if she could be doped someway to calm her down she maybe could be penned up as she comes to a bucket of feed everyday that he...

Why is it 'obscene' for an energy company to make a profit?

Every second word that comes out of Labour is 'windfall', are we getting back on the road to communism? It's a great time to brainwash the hungry of tbe world that their State will provide heaven on earth as well. Surprising the cauldron hasn't boiled over yet.

    Tax Rises

With every budget we consider the threat to farmers very benign inheritance tax position. With £50bn to be found can we expect a haircut?

Will the Lights Stay on this Winter?

So National grid are warning that they may have to implement rolling blackouts this winter. Not exactly surprising if it does happen, it's been clear to many of us for years that shutting the coal fired power stations, not investing in nuclear and going all in on intermittent wind was never...

    The National Health Service

This subject really does warrant a thread to itself, rather than being hijacked for other purposes. My mother is currently in hospital, and the care / treatment she has received has certainly confirmed my opinion that very great change is necessary within the NHS. And this is backed up by...

Well she ain’t going to back down, and the pound is back to where it was before last Friday.Interest rates were due a big correction anyway, and ours are still lower than the US.The energy bailout had to happen, the energy companies already have a windfall tax,so what else could they do the 45% tax...

    Mini Budget, Fiscal Event...

Oh what a start. Exciting is it not. A big turn around from the previous government they served under. I suppose it is bit like a hooked gambler going to the bookies with the kids inheritance. Nothing like targeted tax and spend while borrowing more. Great idea. Not. Expect further hollowing...
