Well the rumour around these parts is some lord has just bought the majority of the critchel estate lands for about £10,000 per acre circa around 4000 acres .The main house and about 600 acres was sold to a texan billlianair for about 35 million .It sometimes is a crying shame when some of these iconic estates get sold off
by the children just so they get their share
especially as their fore fathers fought so hard to keep them together.

Maybe a little timid not all of the river ground that belongs to the whitehouse floods its probably got 10 or 15 acres of safe ground on it but the river does seem to come up hellish quick around there and take a lot of ground with it but I guess that's the same as most river ground it can be risky but it will grow a lot of grass

A local store lamb fattener told me that he lost a lot of sheep down the river last winter, not far from there.(n) Mr Lewis' predecessor told me they get flood warnings but often not quick enough.

Park hall farm near Ellesmere sold for 4.8million to a Shropshire based dairy outfit, already milking 1600 cows. I was reliably informed by a friend of the purchaser yesterday.
Who says there's no money in milking cows!

Well the mystery lord seems to be lord phillimore from oxford and the rumour on the street is the part of lands bought by mr chilton has been let for over £250 per acre .There is going to one busy fool or has he at better calculator than mine:D. Trouble is every agent in the area will soon start to want to get the same sort of rent
for there clients.

While I can understand your nostalgia, I find the clogs to clogs, phenomena reassuring. Gives us mere mortals a chance, (for at least three generations).

So I believe.
Think we share the same agronomist who also mentioned the possibility of maize which I would be very happy to discuss. I farm about 4 miles away.
