This man, by his location, appearers to have turned his back on his country, and can only trumpet the "benefits"of living in a foreign land. His "quisling" like comments should be treated with contempt.

Your comments are grossly offensive.

I am a British, both by domicile and nationality. I live in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (to give it its full and legal title). I have also taken the Queens shilling. My family have lived in the same townland for at least 250 years. In no way have I turned my back on my country.

What do you mean by say I 'have turned my back on my country'? I insist you explain that and apologise for your comments.

The wires seem to have become crossed! Badly! I was not alluding to yourself, but to Muck spreader, who, by his published location moved to France.I certainly do apologise for any confusion.I must add that I totally agree with your stance, and indeed feel that there is much more that needs the light of day to be applied. Article 50(1) should put the fear of god into any one who values their nationality!
Once again, I am sorry for any offence given.

Apologise to you Mr Spreader no chance! You come on here extolling the virtues of life under a corrupt and widely disliked political clique, who answer to no one but themselves, and act in the time honoured ways of all occupying powers. You will no doubt claim that my last is untrue, but 60% of laws enforced in this country originate in Brussels. What is not mentioned is that the other 40% are approved by Brussels. Added together, that is a similar proportion of legislation to that applied by Germany to its occupied countries in WW2!

Now I assume you are getting me mixed up with someone else and I don't live in Germany:scratchhead:

I see the issue of the leaflet is now to be debated in Westminster following the petition "STOP CAMERON spending British taxpayers’ money on Pro-EU Referendum leaflets" passing the 100,000 signature mark.

The debate is scheduled for 9th May.

Also from todays Telegraph, some businessmen who have supported the Conservatives for 20 years are going to put up between £4m and £5m for the Leave campaign as they are so angry at government money being spend on this leaflet

Ley253, Just in case you were also going to say I had turned my back on my country (because I currently live in Portugal) I am still British and always will be. I voted against joining first time round, and have always considered it a mistake that we did join.

As posted on another thread (the one about changing sides of the road when driving) too many who voted "Yes" last time were under the serious misapprehension that they had been given the full story by the government (surprise, surprise they were not) and that the "Common Market" was just a trading bloc. Some of us knew of the treaties regarding ever closer union and so voted to get out. I hope this time that more people are aware of that original aim.

I like Portugal, and I also liked Australia where I was from 1979-1992. I have found both countries quite fascinating in which to farm, but I have no intentions of dying in a foreign field. I will be back.

One reason for my distrust of any government policy in this matter is that, unlike your self, I believed the spiel last time. But once bitten, twice shy!My mood today was not improved by receiving Camerons dodgy dossier, truly, the heir to Blair he is! However, thanks to Quinten Letts, it has gone back to the Freepost address published in the mail today.Hopefully many others will be doing the same.As the conservative party will be paying the postage,Camerons popularity should be taking a nose dive!
Mr spreader, not only lives in France, but is encouraging people to give the United Kingdoms sovereignty to the Franco/German clique which are the real power in the EU. Something I dont think your in favour of!
