‘The interigation of Tony Martin’

Would really love it if the likes of Monbiot and the badger warriors actually tried to justify there stance on here.

George is paid £67,000 by the Guardian (source Monbiot.com ‘Register of interests’)
So he is probably happy enough to save his words for a ‘friendly’ sycophantic audience where any dissent in the comments section IS actively censored. I’ve lost count of the amount of polite but corrective posts I’ve had removed because they “broke the T’s&C’s”, by having a different point of view to George.
It does give the lie to The Guardian being a force for public good and democracy, when the reality is it’s run by a coven of champagne socialists who are bent on telling their gullible readers only the message they want them to hear: ‘dog whistle’ journalism.
C’est la vie.

So have any of the Tony 'there's nothing diminished about me' Martin fan club on here sought to distance themselves from his publicly expressed support for Hitler's treatment of Gypsies?

This is the problem with the modern snowflakes in today,s lefty,s views, when you don,t agree you brand us far right and a lover of Hitler. Most people in society have had enough of you f-ing left wing agenda,s. Please leave our shores and f off to North Korea and go and spread your good word there and see how you get on.

He lives in a free country and can express his views within the law as it is.
I don`t know TM or purport too.
I do understand that TM had been pushed beyond his personal limits.

Do I support what he did? Yes.
Do I think those views are acceptable? No.

Ever been burgled? @Fallowfield

Can I just state the bleedin' obvious by saying that Tony 'there's nothing diminished about me' Martin's crime is not unrelated to his publicly stated support for Hitler's treatment of Gypsies.

in my mind this is unacceptable language!
There is no excuse for using personal abuse.
to challenge ideas is fine but not Ring and blinding at someone because you disagree, and also diminishes any argument you may have.

If you compare at his first police interview (when he basically refused to say anything) with his interview after his release from prison, I think he knew exactly what he was doing, tried to manipulate the police/public at the time, and had no remorse whatsoever after the event.

I also watched the recent documentary on the Bulger killers, and have to say that they actually showed some remorse years after the event. Even if it wasn't genuine, they showed that they knew what they did was wrong, whereas TM seemed proud of what he did.
He should be proud.
I bet burgling reduced thanks to him

Of course you can ‘state it’, as many times as you want apparently.
But do you have anything new to add to discussion, or are you just here to troll an otherwise interesting discussion?

I would totally disagree with this, I am certain there would be just as many communists who would happily shoot an intruder in the situation he was placed. It boils down to the fact that this part of Norfolk, it had been the case for a very long time, that the police appeared totally disinterested in policing and local people were stretched to the end of their tether.
I posted of my encounter with a bunch of thieves, I did not post that although I had rung the police they took 3 days to appear and when they did the only thing they were interested in, was the fact that my car, on private property, was not displaying a tax disc. My then young son, had pulled it off the screen!
I supplied the police with full details of the trespassing vehicle, and who I believed was driving it, knowing that about an hour after there had been a break in 10 miles away. I know that no one was arrested, although the car had not been stolen!
This was in Norfolk too!

I've spoken to a few folks that have been broken into over the years, and they felt no longer happy in their own homes and moved house. What it must feel like to be targeted several times, I hope never to discover.
The glaringly obvious crime in this thread seems to have been glossed over by some. Well, by one anyway. Tony " that bloke's a hero " Martin didn't go out looking for trouble, trouble found him, in his own home.

Well if he made the statement before he shot the burglar then it would be related.
If his opinion of burglars/gypsies hardened after the event then so be it.
If they hadn`t burgled him on multiple occasions then A: He would just be a nobody. B: The victim would be alive.

Ever been burgled @Fallowfield ?

Before you make blanket statements just get your facts straight. The persecution of Gypsies in Germany goes back further than Hitler with the first laws passed in Bavaria in 1926. Additional laws where implemented by Hitler later as part of the "Master Race" policy but where not specific to Gypsies as it also included Jews and Negroes.

I presume your referring to The Law against Dangerous Habitual Criminals passed in Nov 1933 which had it been applied in T Martin case the burglars would have already been removed from the streets due to them being Habitual Criminals. In which case T Martin would have carried on with his peaceful life.

It was a shame the young thief was killed and not the older one. I think tony would of got off if that had happened.
It would make no difference, the crunch of the case was that he shot the thieving criminal in the back. Had it been the front he would not have gone to jail. TM won his release from prison early because the original conviction was based on expert evidence that he was in a particular location when he fired the shot(s) subsequently this was proved to be wrong and his murder conviction was reduced to manslaughter.

The problem is the modern pikey does not have much in common with the traditional Roma. So you will not find any sympathy for them around here. They don't even look like Roma whom generally look more Asian than European. They then have the cheek to play the Race card when challenged and usually with an Irish accent.

I think that the irish travellers give real gypsies a bad name.

You've fallen into the trap there of using facts in a discussion on the internet.
