You’ve managed that with no help from anyone else
Bse was compensatedWell, if you had a contract for a load of pigs every week and suddenly they only took 75% (or whatever) of 'em and told you 'to dispose' of the rest, I expect you'd think that was a bit of sh!t trick.
BSE was sh!t
F&M was sh!t
We've had it before, I expect it'll happen again British Ag is very resiliant.
Same everywhere we have salmon processor mainly foreign workers , massive factory .Same at 18.00 shift change, former Faccenda Brackley, carloads and bus loads, high proportion of my guess is Romanian/Albanians, so the cheaper end Eastern Europe even.
If they could import Martians to do it cheaper, I bet they would.
Blame the retailers who have manoeuvred themselves into a position of dictating what they will pay for chicken, pork, etc.
I didn’t say they were. Not aware of any pig enterprises subsidised or compensated. They do buy grain via feed at full market rates though
Both far from fully compensatedBse was compensated
Foot n mouth compensated
If it was dropped in the sh!t their would have been no compensation or subsidy’s .
Fair point , but it’s unfair to say agriculture gets dropped inthe sh!t , if it was dropped in the sh!t by Fuk the farmers would know about it !!Both far from fully compensated
You didn't noI didn’t say they were.
I'm not belittling anyone. The purpose of this thread is to highlight the very real plight on farm right now. You seem to want to come in and debate all sorts of irrelevant stuff. Fine express your opinion but tbh the only one doing the belittling is you to yourselfTheir choice not to grow the food for their pigs
What I said is correct but I don't see JP admitting that he would rather just belittle people
You are making sweeping incorrect statements and then not admitting that you are wrong but instead just talking down to folk, thought you were better than that but perhaps you are just out of your depth on the subjectI'm not belittling anyone. But he would have been correct to say that some pig farmers get subsidy in the form of BPS wouldn't heYou didn't no
One last tryYou are making sweeping incorrect statements and then not admitting that you are wrong but instead just talking down to folk, thought you were better than that but perhaps you are just out of your depth on the subject
Pig farmers can claim subsidy in just the same way as any other farming sector, why is that such a problem for you to understand? One last try
1. The pig sector is not subsidised. The ban on dry sow confiement was paid for by the industry before other countries did their's
2. Industry spokespeople are trying to highlight this would be the first cull of healthy animals for economic rather than health circumstances
Now if you want to carry on trolling carry on. If you want to comment on the thread that's fine , just accept there's a hell of a lot reading all of this who are in a bad place right now through no fault of their own
I know and I feel sorry for them it must be bloody awful. Now if you want to carry on trolling carry on. If you want to comment on the thread that's fine , just accept there's a hell of a lot reading all of this who are in a bad place right now through no fault of their own
