Hello
Looking for information on decent 12v water pumps to run on a solar system with a battery. looking for something that will last and with a decent output at between 2 and 3 bar. I can run a couple of these pumps together to get more output.

The pump will be sited about 1m above the water source that is a lake, the head height that it has to pump is around 10m and total length of pipe is about 300m to 2000ltrs water troughs. I haven't laid the pipe yet so can go to 32mm if needed. Max water I will need during the hottest weather is 3000ltrs. water needed during dull, cool days could be as low as 1000ltrs

Thanks in advance

I am running two commercial units here. Had some real issues initially until we sussed that the solar panels from the manufacturer were hugely undersized for the BFO pump supplied. 20W, now running 50W off ebay!

The problem comes with cattle all wanting the water at the same time!! I used a 1000l water tank to help with demand, but in hindsight an IBC header tank would have helped in Spring/Autumn when sunlight levels are so-so at times.. Not running the cow numbers now though

Pumping 300m you will need that big 2-3amp pump, and probably 1-200 watt solar panels with 100amp battery. Cannot remember the make of pump now.... ;)

If you could give me a lead on the pump, it would be great, currently looking at this one https://www.xylem.com/siteassets/br...hnical-brochure/4325-technical-data-sheet.pdf

Can people recommend a particular brand of panel or are they all the same?

Where did you source your equipment from? Did it come as a package or did you put it together?
