Slowly getting through this-I am trying to find a proper manual for this.
My next query is the back axle
I assume it shares oil with the hydraulics?
How do I check/topup the level and can I use the universal oil that the engine uses?

It does share the oil. Dipstick on rear casing - opposite side to pto lever. Fill via plug in front of gear levers. Multipurpose was what we always used and I still do in mine

DVD copies of the 135/148 manuals are readily available on EBay.

I briefly worked at a farm back in the 80s and the old boy would put hydraulic oil in engines when he ran out of the proper stuff!
Didn’t the Dexta have almost the same engine as a 135?
I have a friend who had one that the engine was getting rather tired on. So he used EP90 in it!
It had to be rebuilt not long after. A mistake I , Uhum, I mean he won’t try making again!

I could write a book about his antics and the things he got us doing to save money. We were in dispair at the time but some of it's quite funny now.
Unless you're a health and safety inspector of course.....
