Jesus there is absolutely no way you could pen mine in a rappa pen. They'd be over the top in seconds and they would use the one being smothered as leverage!
I quite often curse the old boys in years gone by at a blackie tup sale (as well as today but for different reasons). There might be one the auctioneer is struggling with. All of a sudden it starts jumping up the side of the ring at the bidders looking for a way out aaand she's away again... "Ooocht aye, he'll run efter the yows oot on the hull"

As long as your happy with them thats all that matters ! Im sure they will be good 😊 breed good uns dont follow the fashion .

Theyre rough hill sheep and their very much going to stay that way. I won't sell ewe lambs or ram lambs or sheep until they're buggered so I'm not really caring about much other than them producing as many lambs as possible with as little input as possible.

Crickey, they must be wilder than folk say if they`ll go 4 or 5 deep... ;)
They were stacked up against a shoulder height wall, right to the top a good number ran up and over the wall, it was quite a sight, I've seen a number of reasonably big smothers in my time and I thought this particular one was going to be bad but they kinda cake mixed around and all ran out again.
