An old friend of mine living at Farmington, British Columbia,Canada, is selling his 1950 Cat D8 2-U at his farm auction sale next April 26th. Please can anyone that is antique Cat enthusiast tell me where I can look up an old specification sheet for the tractor. Were they all direct drive in those days and was the engine really reliable same goes for the rear transmission. Ritchies Bros are holding the auction and there are 5 pics of the tractor on there website IF you can eventually get to them. Thank you in advance.

Robert Self is pretty good on old cat knowledge. Used to be run a silage gang in this part of the world but now deals in old cats/tracked things. Guess if he can't help would know someone who could?
Will try find no or link to his website.
