2010 fendt 718 fuel issue

My fendt 718 has acquired a fuel issue...stopped without a warning. Changed both filters and blown back down into the tank incase of dirt on the pipe in the tank. It's bad to start and runs for a short time then dies off and stops. It's like it's getting air in the system. Wonder if anyone has had a similar issue....im thinking is it drawing it in from the front pump driven off the fan belt. Thanks

Problem solved, a heap of silicone in the pipe leading to the first filter...not impressed as a few months ago a guy fitted a new top where the diesel pipes come out the tank...lots of silicone around the top....some has obviously dropped down into the tank.
