Starting to get a little worried now. Spring seed might be short... Weather doesnt look great on the forcast - given how sh!t harvest was, could we be in for just as bad an autumn?

Not yet, we have had an average sept so far. 2019 sept, oct, Nov were over 200% of average
I dont know the figures for here, but trudging around what i've cultivated it definitely feels like we've had an above average amount of rain in the last couple of weeks. Was almost getting stuck spreading dung on one field which isnt normally a wet field, and i only had a rotorspreader full of horse dung!
20 degrees outside today. September has been wet but it's dried up so far. Ask again in five weeks.
Been nice today, but overnight we had rain and it is now blowing a storm outside again. Going to need a good few days of dry to be able to get onto anything here even with a plough.

I didn't believe that until I checked our figures here. We are just over the average rainfall for September as of today; come Wednesday we will be well past that. August was average too, but July was much wetter. It feels much wetter than 'average' I am presuming because we have not had a more than 36hours without it raining.

EDIT; I have just looked at accumulated rainfall and we have been above the 10 year average since June, which is where the issue lies.

i think the issue has been the number of wet months this year, March, April both crazy wet, May cold and slightly below average. June bit below average. July wettest in 50yrs, August 150% of average. We have only hade 3 months with below average rainfall Jan, Feb, June this year.

Everybody is frantically ploughing and combi drilling here. We’re persevering with the Claydon but it ain’t pretty and the slug pellets are in abundance. A straw rake post drilling is the closest we’ll get to rolling.

Should think there's plenty fcüd off with the job , unless you got some diversification or solar ect paying you a chunk or you been fortunate enough to "loose " aload for building there's not much enthusiasm for it all now and then chuck a catchy backend on and it will be icing on cake ....

We drilled 17ac of wheat after beans with the Mzuri a week ago as Saturday, then nowt until 40ac of barley Vaderstad drilled this afternoon into lighter land ploughed & pressed a good fortnight ago. Wind this afternoon has dried things up nicely. Forecast rubbish and we're not rolling anything but not chasing plough with combi like half the district yet.
That said we have 50ac of straw to dry which is testing my patience.....

This month we have had 50mm.

40mm in 6 hours, and just now 10mm in an hour. Stubbles, ploughed or whatever - it just doesn't infiltrate that fast. Yadda Yadda regen - puddles on permenant pasture now. Damned pain really.
