We have a frame (60 x 30) 20ft bays. Tops of stanchions are cut in to allow for timber Eaves beams, is it common practice to have timber eaves and then steel zed purlins for the roof or do you tend to stick to one or the other?

For the side purlins, I assume it would be back to Cee or Zed again? No brackets are currently welded on the stanchions so we have options.

Lots of sheds have wooden eves beams and the rest are Z’s. Best put some angle iron wind braces to reduce the span of the wood to say 16’

Shed with 20 ft bays, 9 x 3 timber purlins. Steel channel eaves beam with timber bolted on top to fix to. . Not sure of size maybe 7 x 3 ?
Shed man reckons it reduces the chances of the purlins bowing "down the hill"
