Thank you to Mark & Paul for taking us over to Ireland & a for the chance to see the machine working , only have to pump water as it was in a NVZ area, look forward to the Demo next year.

Looks a good width but looks like it will be easy bent or is there a break back the solid bar that holds the yellow flex on is to low unless it is going on flat ground? Are you looking to go dribble bar instead of trailing shoe? Are u wanting to go 24m?

going to use the trailing shoe on grass & a 24 meter dribble bar on standing crops in tramlines.Yes it has brake backs fitted, Has a very nice massarator set up on it made by them .

Won't your 6" pipes cause too much drag and damage to use in standing crops?
we will drag 5" in standing crops & work with a hose humper as well, we did some last year on standing crops with the trailing shoe & dragged 5" in wheat, barley etc & there was no crop damage from the pipe at all & if we can work in 24meter tramlines the the job is sorted.

Speed depends on two things, firstly the thickness of carpet can effect speed then if your pumping upstairs this will greatly reduce your flow rates, better of sticking with your little dribble bar Mr holywell
I think he was asking what spread to they spread at? :scratchhead:

Are we not allowed to ask questions about things that we haven't done ourselves? Be a bit of a quiet place if we aren't.

Macerator looks different to vogelsang would be interesting to have a look at its guts. What time of year you doing the crops up till? If the crop is between 6-8" high pipes will never damage crop it will stand back up on its own:)

Yes the macerator is very simple , I think the vogelsang is not the best on the market & they cost a bit to run, crops will be done in the spring , so it will work well , you have got to remember we are running a lot bigger pump unit & hose than any one else so out out put will be 200 + cube per hour for the 24 metro dribble to handle .

I think our 5" pipe not much harder to pull than the 4" , as the 5" is drag hose & is smooth with no ribs in it & slides better, but the 24 meter dribble bar will more than likely end up on a 200+hp tractor & probably 4wheel steer , the hose Humper will all so pull the hose as well so the spreading tractor may only need to pull 300 meters of hose

@ 200 cube an hour that's just shy of 44000 gallon so very good but I would of thought it will be going on between 3-4000 gallon to the acre to make it worth while going on so prob be a nice relaxing 3-4kph

If you get a chance of any close up pics of the macerator would be good to see.
