24hr Shearathon

Surprised nobody had put anything up before now.

A lad down in Wales has done a 24hr shearing for charity. He started 12pm (Midday) on Friday and finished 6pm on Saturday. His total sheep shorn for the run is 1143.

Yes, would be interesting, and of course in a marathon you only have yourself to drag around …..not a sheep as well .

The world championship sheep shearing competition is just down the road from here in early July. A place called Le Dorât. I hope the event is a success for them, they have put in a lot of work.

Owens personal target before starting was to shear 1,000. So very pleased for him he smashed his own goals

well done owen.my mate last year sheared for charity raising 12k,shearing 715 in 9 hrs,good going for 47 yers old.

One of the girls going, a Canadian, was here as part of a gang that sheared my yearlings a few weeks back. Very good shearer
