24v Wifi range extender

A wifi reversing camera on the back of an artic trailer, connecting to an ipad in the cab. The signal is a bit weak. I’ve tried a wired extension aerial, but no better. Can you get 24v ip rated range extenders? Or powered extension aerials?

Not quite sure what the setup is here from the description...
However if you had/have a wired ethernet poe camera, run it's poe cable to the front of the trailer and then put a wifi access point at the front attached to the cable...
You'd probably need an AP with 2 ethernet sockets as the AP would be POE as well, although it wouldn't be connected to anything on that poe side, only for power.

Surprisingly good just needs a better signal

you could put a longer antenna on it. But you wouldn't know if it worked till you try (pay first etc and not work)
you can also get directional antennas that concentrate the signal in 1 direction.
My experience of adding repeaters that bounce wifi from 1 place further to another place has never been very good in the past.

To be honest I think this would be the only way to do it.

Essentially you buy a battery Access Point and then just connect both devices to it so they are on the same network and that should let you get the connection.
