Over 2000 new houses being built near me and and not a single one with a solar panel on their roofs….should be government enforced that any new builds have at least one side of the roof covered in solar panels and a water catchment tank for recycling water for toilets

They should be plumbed for community heat and power, and be run by incinerating waste and small scale sewage AD.

Agree with this, all new developments should be built with the future in mind not just chucked up for the cheapest price.
They shouldn't be built on good food producing land either if alternatives are possible. That goes for renewable energy production and any other non Ag use too. Prime Ag land should be used for food production only.

None of that is popular with developers or landowners/farmers though so will never happen.
