In reality all things been equal how much extra does a 6cyl weigh over an identical spec 4cyl? Yep 2 pistons and a bit of engine block. Another 50kg wafer weight hung on the front prob more than outweighs the advantage of the engine with a greater number of cylinders. If you don't need weight for heavy lifting then the 4 banger will be plenty good.

But yes I’m a 6cyl lad at heart!
New cases and nhs are the same size either 6cyl or 4The extra wheelbase makes a lot of difference though both carrying mounted implements and handling trailers etc. No amount of front weight can make the 4 cyl as steady as the longer 6 cyl cousin. Horses for courses though
What jobs was valtra doing?Had a few pocket rockets over the years,a Valtra n141 chipped to 175hp and a 6430 similar, great towing tractors but turn the pto on and they died.
Not now they don’t, only 6 pot is the T6-180/maxxum 150Not sure on the case model equivalent but NH do a T6.160, 6 cyl 130hp
Seen it advertised in the NH dealer the other dayNot now they don’t, only 6 pot is the T6-180/maxxum 150
I think you may be right its a new model that's a 6 pot the 4 pot is the t6165. There was something about it in the profi mag.Seen it advertised in the NH dealer the other day
It seems as that's the replacement for the t6030 or 50 sle models. Basic ish (As basic as new tractors go) six pot mixed farm tractorNew Holland Agriculture extends acclaimed T6 tractor range with the new 6-cylinder T6.180 Auto Command™, T6.180 Dynamic Command™ and T6.160 Electro Command™ models
New Holland Agriculture further widens the extensive T6 range with 3 new 6-cylinder models: the T6.180 Auto Command™ and the T6.180 Dynamic Command™agriculture.newholland.com

As said a lot are the same wheelbase now which is logical really as simpler to machine an extension piece of casting up to bridge the gap rather than altering the length of every part that stretches across the engine. So it really gets down to what sort of noise you prefer to listen to from an engine and pub based bragging rights! As a tool to do a job logically whatever is most efficient should win!NH T6/Case Maxxum tractors are now the same wheel base whether 4 or 6cyl. Even though there's only one 6 cyl to offer now for the die hard 6 pot fans. 4 pot, 145hp has just 40nm torque difference to the 6cyl, 150hp.
All the specs and info you need to know are on the websites. Alternatively ask either dealer for a brochure. Heard lots of good things about the new ones so can't be bad. I would always say go for as much hp and spec as you can sensibly afford.
