The power steering on my 4610 quit working yesterday. One of the pipes on it is leaking oil, can I still buy the pipe off the shelf or would I have to take it off and get it made to fit?
Is it a metal pipe or rubber hose type.
I had the same problem last year on a 3910, metal pipe was leaking. Never tried main dealer but could not get any hydraulic firm to make a new metal one. Got a rubber hose type one made in the end and fitted that, was one of the main pipes from the pump to the steering box.
Ask a a dealer, if it's an early one i reckon it will be the pressure pipe under reservoir the flare cracks later ones had a double flare, as stated get a hose made up.
