4630 top arms/crosshaft

Can anyone let me know how these components are fitted together, a friend has one of these tractors, and there is considerable movement in the LH upper arm, in relation to the RH side.

Thanks, works fine.Cant quite see if the splines are tapered or not, but I doubt they are! Looks like a clean up and loctite in the short term.

Indeed not, so it cant be just a loose bolt! has to be wear, and I think quite a lot of it! All in all, not what he needs at this time of year, tractor is used for match ploughing, and with this problem , plough will be able to roll like a boat in a force ten!
Time to point owner at the nearest ford agent methinks!
