4G Router

Hi
We are on 4G internet here.
Vodafone mast is 100m from the house, EE mast is about 500m from the house so signal isn't an issue.
I have a Huwaie 4G router but it freezes up regularly and everything stops for a 5mins then off it goes again, I used to blame the 4g signal but I switched to Vodafone and is still does it.
Its a pretty basic "cheapish" router so I'm thinking its time for an upgrade to a decent one.

So what is a good make for a 4g router? or where to buy it?
There are tons to pick from, want one with sim slot and a wan port so it could pull internet off BT line if the 4g goes down.
Any recomnendations?

I use a TP link in office/bothy. Hasn't been any bother at all.

One of our wireless bridge units was prone to freezing. Found in the settings I could tell it to reboot. Set it for 1am every day. Problem solved.
When we were on 4g broadband we had a Huawei which caused no problems.
TP link stuff seems good.
Suppose you just have to list your requirements and see what fits
Such as. Unlocked. Antenna sockets. Lan sockets. Number of WiFi channels . etc etc. Should get sorted for under £100

I have two TPlink routers, and though it's probably not as bad, I still get the same hanging issues from time to time. One's loaded with an EE sim, the other Three.

Have a look at Draytek.
Bit pricey, but I have never had any problems with their ADSL/VDSL kit.

Cheap ones seem to last a short time, why I have no idea. I have had a Draytek Vigor for 3-4 years that is as good as gold still 🤞 They have a good rep for robust kit.

Will take the 3/4G sim card for backup as well as required by the OP, which is of absolutely bugger all use to me, as we have no 3/4G signal inside the house! Pondering an external aerial. I suspect Draytek will have dedicated 4G routers.
