4x4 vehicle in 'Agricultural Machine' Taxation class

Hi,

I'm looking for a 4x4 (landrover or something similar) that is Taxed as a tractor.

It needs to be the Agricultural Machine category rather than Limited Use as it will be doing slightly more than 1.5 km on the road.

Anything considered, but needs to be reasonably tidy as I don't want to get pulled over every day.

Cheers.

What do you need to do to get a 4x4 in the tractor taxation class? What limitations do you have once it is in that class?

A few years back I bought a Daihatsu Fourtrak Pickup with a sprayer mounted in the back.

It was classed as Agricultural Machine and was able to run on red diesel etc. I wish I'd kept it now as the DVLA turned down my request to convert my existing truck to Ag Machine.

I was hoping someone might have one that was already in the Ag Machine category so that I didn't need to apply to convert it.

This one has an ag
license as it carries a slug pelleter on the tailgate.

It also gets some appreciative looks in town. I did the
story four years ago, in Farm Ideas 18-1

That's exactly the sort of thing I'm after.

I've got quite a few Daihatsu Fourtraks and could make something similar, but do the DVLA still allow changes to the Ag Machine category?

If not, can I buy that one!

The Daihatsu fourtrak will be too heavy @ 1500kg ? to fit into the current rules for a light agricultural machine. Max weight is 1000kg.
