Rumours the 50% advance is meant to start today, everyone paid by next weekend (ie 31st).
Anyone paid yet?

Came through this morning. I hope it's not 50% or I'm in trouble. It won't go far.
Because its an interim payment the number they can pay per day is limited as I understand. At least it's popping up! I was very sceptical it would actually appear.
What % you reckon they've sent (go off last year for ease)?

Sorry, but your only one of many who's expectations will be shattered.Well that little Website has spoit my day.
Unfortunately the reality is that in a few yrs time there's going to be a lot , lot ,lot less farmers and units will be significantly larger with fewer people employed on themSorry, but your only one of many who's expectations will be shattered.
Maybe everyone should print theirs off and frame it on the office wall.
Or hand it to every rep that comes on farm
Ah, that's called a mortgage here. The bit of the profit you don’t get to keep.
£23 / acre , not worth getting out of bed forLooking at a post on the SFI thread by @Janet Hughes Defra.
She gave an example where a 100 ha ( 250 acre ) all grassland farm with PP can enter the higher payment rates if they put 15 HA o( or 37 acres ) into a herbal ley.
She said that the farm will get a total payment across all the 100 ha of about £5800 a year, rough costing's is that in the first year it will cost £5500 to plant these herbal leys so then take into account all the other costs like adding OM/ soil tests/ plans etc etc the farm will be lucky to get £2000 net a year after costs if you spread the planting etc costs across the whole 5 years!
So in real terms a 250 acre family farm that is getting about £22000 a year in BPS payments now ( or last year ) will only actually in real terms will only be getting £2000 in 5 years time!
It is a car crash waiting to happen!
