50b steering issues HELP PLEASE!

You could try adjusting the turnbuckle very slightly whichever way helps,if at all,but keep note of how much you turn it. Measure it with a ruler so you can put it back where it started.The trouble is if you move it much,it's easy to lose steerage the other way.
Usually the problem is from wear on all moving parts and that system is near impossible to get right again unless properly refurbished. The biggest culprit being wear on the main pivot pin and bushes.The tombstone usually needs bored out and rebushed......
Theres a tapered pin with a large lock nut and a screwdriver slot on the top. Loosen the lock nut and back the pin out half a turn at a time to give more travel to the spool valve,although it will also give more free play in the steering! A complete fudge of a system if ever there was!!

Bit of a bodge but you could try unscrewing the tapered peg a bit. It will give you more assistance but the steering may wander a bit more. Not a problem if you dont go on the road.
