Did this get any form of consultation before being brought in? Surprised no posts on here or in the weekly farming press?

How are vet practices planning to cope when some already have a month+ lead time on testing as it is...

Presumably it’s in the post, I don’t suppose they’d be kind enough to leave me out.
Just hope I can keep my current place in the testing cycle just before turnout so that hopefully 6 months will be in the region of coming in again, testing mid summer when not a ring fenced farm is a pain.
They say you can move forward just the once to get yourself in months you’d prefer. I’d guess everyone will want just before turnout .
Only got 15 cattle here , but have a trace test tomorrow

When they brought 6 monthly testing in in Derbyshire you were given the option to change your test date. Could only change once. Obviously nearly everyone changed to spring/autumn. We didn't bother as we liked our existing window (April) .
Also we were given the exemption to test yearly (never had a breakdown in over 30yrs). However this was only after one year of 6mth testing. We'd had 3 tests in 18mths before we got the letter (luckily we had it after our pre turnout test, so didn't have to test in autumn). Our vets also advised to not pester apha for the exemption as they could see it as you've something to hide.
